** Andy: Stopped at Habitat for Humanity, limited supply, it's get what you 
can get.  Wants to check pricing at Carter Lumber.
** Paul: West Hill Hardware, lots of architectural salvage.  Doors aren't fire 
rated, but $20-25 for solid doors.
** Omar: Carpentry/masonry school has built rooms out of caging.
*** Becca: No dust containment
** Mike: Soundproof? Omar: No.
** Andy: Price? Omar: No idea.
** Maybe get some caging to experiment?
*** Becca: Pics or it didn't happen.
** Mike: Cage dimensions? Omar: Doesn't matter.  They're cuttable.  Cage

* James: Would like to be able to offer local internet services for various 
purposes.

* Becca: Family membership discount rate issue?  We have families that would 
like to get involved, and it would help to bring in more members.

* Senior discount: Omar: How do you prove? If you look old? Golden Buckeye

* Steve: Proposal about modifying the membership or proposal process.  Link:

up to 6 weeks, then we go to voting with conditions.
** Torrie will put this onto the next meeting's minutes and possibly have a 
subgroup meeting.

* Questions about meeting attendance requirements: Answer: No requirements.  
You can be as member as you wish.

* Omar: does anyone have a bookshelf? 
* Andy: Drug policy questions? 
** Omar: Does anyone feel that "Don't do illegal things at the space" doesn't 
adequately cover it?
** Mike: I don't think it covers it.
** Becca: My concern is that if someone were to consume alcohol here and get 
into an accident, we could be liable.
** Paul: We don't provide alcohol.  People bring alcohol here on their own and 
consume said alcohol on their own.
** Torrie: We had discussion about having a lawyer on retainer.  It would be 
$200/hr for the first 2 hours, then their normal rate.  Details were sent to 
bizops.
** Andy: Beer was bought with synhak funds.  Torrie: No it wasn't.
** Becca: Can we consult more than one lawyer? Torrie: That's fine.
** Omar: Input about beer on synhak property. If it's not purchased with 
synhak money, it's not synhak beer.
** Andy: Whoever says we need a lawyer, get a lawyer, get their opinion.
** Becca: I have connections to a lawyer or two, will contact both this week.
* Omar: Does anyone have issues with using SYN/HAK money to get a lawyer for 
us?
** Torrie: Using SYN/HAK money to retain a lawyer is ok with her.
** James: Akron Bar Association has a regular open house that you can talk to 
various lawyers.
