[ACFUG Discuss] Search functions

We are looking at either storing files on a server somewhere (and no "file server" anywhere, so they would have to be synched via PeerSync) or in the database as blobs (Oracle).  The fun part of this is that we want to put in a search functionality.  We are looking at CF's Verity (potentially Northern Light) and Oracle Search.  Any ideas on the performance between them?

Also any ideas on the performance of putting a document back together from a blob?
