Folks, I'm happy to announce that the ACFUG has a new president, Teddy Payne. At the meeting of the ACFUG board last night, the board selected Teddy as the new president. I had chosen to step down for personal reasons and some growing time conflicts. I'm very happy with the board's selection and would ask that the entire ACFUG community welcome and embrace Teddy's enthusiasm and leadership. The board also discussed various other items regarding the group's function and vitality, and I'm sure that you'll see various fruits of that effort both soon and in the future. I want to thank the group and the board for your support during my year of presidency. I especially want to thank past president Josh Adams and "man behind the curtains" John Mason for their superlative efforts to help keep me straight on various administrative functions of the role. I will certainly be happy to share with Teddy what they did with me, and I'm sure he too will benefit from the tremendous support from them and the entire board. I'll drop this note to the announcement list as well, but I'm offering it here as well as I expect some may reply to it--and replies to the announcement list only go back to the sender.
