Sadly on the way to learning CFCs, Custom Tags seemed to have been
abandoned.
IMO
CFCs are great for encapsulating logic.
Custom Tags are great for encapsulating Markup.
I am working on COOP, a framework that will work with Fusebox or any
other. Will be out VERY SOON. (Free and Open Source).
