Please excuse my pseudo-spamming of our list, but I wanted to send word to the group about an interesting new concept in collaborative development starting here in and around our city. The desire for many freelancers to occasionally get out of their bubble and interact with like-minded people, to bounce ideas around a room and generally learn and/or show off tends to be rather high. A clever solution to this has been started around the country in the form of meet ups called "Jellies". This was started by two guys in New York and has really taken off in many areas. There has been one in Atlanta for about three months now and has a pretty good size group at this point. You can find more information on that group at: http://wiki.workatjelly.com/JellyInAtlanta I am starting one on the North Side of town this month and would like to extend the invitation to any and all here who would be interested in getting out and meeting and working around some developers, creative types and others in a casual environment whether you are a freelancer or an employed developer with some mobility options. We are holding our first North Side Jelly in Roswell on Wednesday, January 23 at Tony's American Bar and Grille. This is a great spot fully equipped with high-speed wifi, leather couches and plenty of table space, projection screens with laptop hook-ups, a game room and an incredible full menu is an ideal and spacious spot for collaboration or to work quietly. Easily accessible from Roswell, Alpharetta, Norcross and East Cobb. If you are interested, please go to: http://wiki.workatjelly.com/JellyInRoswell and add your name to our list. The direct link to the actual event date is: http://wiki.workatjelly.com/JellyInRoswell-January23 where you can add your name to the attendance list. I hope to see some of you there! This is a great opportunity to get around people who aren't in the CF world and learn and share. If you have any questions, please contact me! Thank you!
