Thanks, Charlie. I had previously checked for information, but this is
one site I did not see.
I did find where others have encountered various versions of this
update issue.
I worked on the problem and finally concluded that the problem was that
eclipse.org was in the search list,
and that site does not have the XML file that's needed. Removing it from
my search list corrected the issue.

There has been a lot of discussion in recent months touting Eclipse and
CFEclipse, so I decided to give this a try. I installed the latest JDK and
the latest version of Eclipse.
I ran through a tutorial to verify that Eclipse works fine.
Then I used the Eclipse Update option to download the latest CFEclipse
package.
That went smoothly and CFEclipse works fine.
But now when I try to use Eclipse Update to search for and download
plug-ins, I get a network connection error. It seems that the CFEclipse
install has somehow messed up my firewall settings (Norton 360), or
something else that prevents the update from connecting.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Anyone have suggestions?
