Thanks for your suggestions, guys. I changed the return type to a boolean and also changed the function's name. Unfortunately, I kept getting the same error.
On hunch, I changed the cfinvoke to use the server's IP address instead of the hostname and it worked! Has anyone encountered this before? Is this a bug in cfinvoke?
