Can the client's browser access the image file? You should be able to just put the path to the file in the browser addressbar and access the image. I suspect, however, that the severname isn't in the DNS, especially if this is not on an intranet. If this is the case, then the CFContent works because it's built into the page on the server side rather than on the client side. One possible work around would be to use <img src="myCFpage.cfm"> where myCFpage.cfm contains <cfcontent type="image/gif" file="/servername/pathtofile/file.gif"> Just my $0.02. mf
