Depending on the service that you are providing, I have a good deal of usage
of emails that send a URL to the subscriber.  The link takes the email
recipient to a login screen that is has SSL encryption.

After login, the sensitive information is displayed and said sensitive
information never left the host site.

This may not be ideal if transferring the information is the key here.
