I kept bugging my credit union about it. They ignored me until I finally received an email from the webmaster telling me not to worry - he was a professional and knew what was best....

Yes, during my last password change cycle I noted that one of my accounts not only wouldn't allow passwords longer than 8 chars, but only allowed letters and numbers (no special chars), AND was not case sensitive!
