I have had this problem now for a long time with CFEclipse, and it's driving me nuts. I'm running Eclipse 3.4 on Windows Vista 64 and Windows 7 64, and I'm running CFEclipse 1.3.4.200906240705. The issue I'm having is this: I set up a project that has a bunch of existing files in it. I know they are read only - I have them tied to a version control system and they are not checked out yet. I just want to open them in Eclipse, so using the file navigation menu, I open a file. Eclipse warns me it's a read only file by saying "You are opening a read only file. You will not be able to make or save any changes." Duh, I figured that much out :) And like any annoying warning message with a freshly installed application, you just live with these warnings - but be sure to check the "Don't show this warning in the future" option so I never have to see it again. Well, here's the bug - when I check that box and hit OK, you'd think the next file I open in the project would just open without this message. It doesn't. I get that warning message over and over again. I'm not gonna lie, it annoys the hell out of me. I do not have this problem with Eclipse 3.3.2 and the most recent version of CFEclipse for it. It only happens in 3.4 - and just for kicks I blew away my entire install of Eclipse and got a fresh copy. Same thing happens. Now I'm convinced it must be some hidden preference file stored somewhere for my windows account - and keep in mind I hate this bug very much - so I reinstalled Windows. I then obtained a new version of Eclipse, grabbed the latest CFEclipse and tried it again. Same problem.

PLEASE tell me somebody else has this issue and has resolved it and can share with me what I need to do to make it go away. Google didn't show me anything useful, and I've tried many times to find answers on various Wikis, etc.
