Just an update: he got that info to me, but as I told him, I'm afraid that there's really nothing I can see or offer, since I know nothing about the COM object. Again, he just needs to find what he can from any diagnostics available for it. Perhaps there's some sort of log, or maybe it's writing something in the Windows Event logs.
