Absentys, a Chattanooga-based technology company specializing in absence management, is in need of a full-time, on-site* DBA/Systems Analyst*. *The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:* -monitor systems’ performance, run performance queries, and troubleshoot performance issues as they arise -correct data replication issues on disaster recovery site -follow-up on system patching and test -maintain and review security logs -serve as contact with hosting center -participate in system capacity planning -research and troubleshoot failed SQL jobs -respond to clients’ security questions and document answers -troubleshoot office workstation issues, as needed *This position requires:* -initiative-taking to find solutions in a timely manner -ability to handle and/or organize multiple projects simultaneously -strong verbal communication, including the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner -ability to write technical documents in a clear and concise manner -comprehensive knowledge of structured query language for the purpose of developing extensive scripts and stored procedures -2-5 years of related career experience required; in addition, Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences field desired -Windows workstation & network experience -Windows Server system administration experience -SQL DBA experience -DBA replication experience -Windows 7 experience -SQL and SQL Server 2008 experience required; SQL Server 2000 experience also desired -Windows Virtual Machines experience -some after-hours and weekend work -limited travel, primarily to Charlotte and Raleigh, NC Must be willing to relocate to Chattanooga, TN; relocation assistance is negotiable.
