Is the source within <MX:IMAGE> an array or strings?

When you select a gallery, a mx:List populates with all of the images/videos assigned to it. You click on the thumbnail and it changes the source of mx:Image/mx:Videodisplay. Each file has a filetype assigned to it (image for image, movie for movie). When it tries to display a video in the mx:List, it just shows a broken image icon and it downloads the entire file. So the question is: How do I display a screenshot/thumb of the FLV (and avoid downloading the entire thing) inside the mx:List? Here is the code for the mx:List: <mx:List id="theList" x="0" y="82" width="138" borderStyle="inset" rollOverColor="#FFFFFF" backgroundAlpha="0" height="424" click="updateImage();"> <mx:itemRenderer> <mx:Component> <mx:Image source="{data.filename}" maintainAspectRatio="true" height="60" horizontalAlign="center" verticalAlign="middle" /> </mx:Component> </mx:itemRenderer> </mx:List> If you want to see it in action go to http://www.breakseven.com/flex/gallery/ .
