Does anyone know how to resize and upload the picture via FLEX?

Interesting...

 

The lastResult of the of the returned data cannot be cast to a typed
object that has the same variables and types, like the documentation
says. It throws a TypeError if you try to do it. I believe the other way
around does work.. taking a  typed object and using that as one of the
variables in the operation.

maybe help some?

IIRC, complex return types can be caste into objects if the properties
match up, but not the other way around.  There was a recent thread  on
Flexcoders on this.  Search on " Value Object to XML" there.
