I mean as a team you are likely to be using some set of shared conventions in your development (or you should be). So the new guy/gal is going to have to be taught that the views go here, the model goes here, events here, etc. The same is true of a framework. If anything the framework is likely to have an edge in better documentation (at least that's the case in most of the places I've worked). If I were a tech lead/architect/grand poobah that decided XYZ Widget framework was the best for the foreseeable future, I wouldn't change all current development to it, but rather switch over to it as new development started. Pick the tool for the job.
