If this works:
<mx:Text text="{chartManagerService.lastResult.charts.paramBack2}"/>and this is in the same mxml file: [Bindable] private var ChartID : String = chartManagerService.lastResult.charts.paramBack2; then the assignment to ChartID will work once you put it in the right spot.
