According to the British Home Office security minister, Vernon Coaker,
the EUs Data Retention Directive, allowing the respective countries to
store logs of people's internet traffic, e-mailheaders, telephone calls
and text messages, does not go far enough.

One thing the UK government now is considering is also monitoring and
storing all user communication on social-networking sites, such as
Facebook, MySpace, and Bebo.
