Does the United Nations organization have a policy regarding Free Software and its mission? And how does this affect the 17 specialisted UN organisations?
Does the UN prefer to use and republish improvements with Free Software? I found a general statement of the Secretary General's speech from 2010: http://www.unglobalpulse.org/blog/un-secretary-general-appeals-global-open-source-community And some documentation from the UNESCO: http://unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0021/002156/215621e.pdf A lot of old links from the UNESCO portal of Free Software seem old.
