Je laisse la description de mon atelier en franglais pour ceux que ca interesse. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Scratch2017BDX (Joek van Montfort) <[email protected]> Date: 9 April 2017 at 12:49 Subject: Re: Proposal Scratch2017BDX: Some 3D techniques in Scratch / Techniques de 3D en Scratch Charles Boisvert - Lecturer in Computing, Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield, United Kingdom To: Charles Boisvert <[email protected]> Proposal title: Some 3D techniques in Scratch / Techniques de 3D en Scratch Presenter(s): Charles Boisvert - Lecturer in Computing, Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield, United Kingdom Proposal: This workshop proposes to show Scratch users how to realise 3D scenes or games using one-point perspective. Here are two examples of using the technique: - In an animation: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/87706 - In a game: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/184016 We will show how to: - make use of a block which transforms 3D (x, y, z) coordinates into 2D apparent ones; - work out the relative movement of objects to create the illusion of approaching obstacles; - package these in a game, animation or 3D scene; - depending on time available and audience, understand the workings of the block computing the screen projection The purpose is that every attendee would leave having made a simple game or animation that uses 3D, and with material to make or teach more of the same. Scratch and print resources will be available in English and in French to support the workshop. Message for program committee: Two remarks: - I have lived 25 years in France followed by 25 more in the UK. I fully intend to run the workshop to support speakers of either language; particularly, to support local young people or primary education teachers. Spanish could be added if need be. - A shorter version of the same work could be shown as a "demo" if it is better suited to the programme of the conference.
