I am not going to _assign_ anyone as a treasurer, and I don't think it would be appropriate for Garret to do so either, and I think he agrees from reading his recent messages on the list here. Holding an election shouldn't be that hard if there are people interested in the jobs. I think modifying the constitution and holding an election should be the main goals right now. Don't wait for me to help with that though, you have a good start going, run with it. If you could volunteer as the person in charge of organizing the election (make your own title), rather than the interim treasurer, I think that would be the best way to help. Do you want that job? If so, it's yours. I don't want to be negative, but if nothing happens soon with holding an election then I would volunteer to be treasurer if and when Garret didn't want to continue that responsibility - but I am only volunteering as a last resort, I really want an election to happen.
