Jane, I haven't checked completely, but I think one plain battery outlasts any netbook: Mine lasts 5 hours (Acer Aspire One with 6 cells), and I think the best battery time comes from a HP (a pricey HP) with around 8 hours). The Ben, powered on with a cron bash script running to check battery status lasted almost 17 hours! (in a experiment I did a long time ago).
