Thanks for sorting this out.  I only needed 8 partitions to do some 
I/O speed tests but was able to do it with only four partitions.  I suspect
at the time the limit was set, the capacity of the devices for that 
interface was much smaller than now:)  I am now using a 16GB, Cat 4,
Micro SD card.  There are 32GB cards but only at Cat 2 and quite 
expensive.
