I agree with Werner that the current POV-Ray licensing is problematic. The consensus seems to be that POV-Ray is not open source according to the OSI definition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Povray#Licensing The good news is that according to the Wikipedia entry, a rewrite of POV-Ray 4.0 is being discussed, which might be licensed under GPL v3.
