Yi,
I particularly like how you start to collect contributor information.
If you or others don't mind I renamed that to 'Credits:', and will also
sit down to try to collect more names there.

I feel giving proper credits is one of our core values, especially as
we accumulate more and more free stuff, like pictures, music, maps,
etc. Let's try to find the right way to link back and attribute the
people who made all this possible.

As with so many truly good things, attribution is actually hard to
do well. First we need to collect the names, then we need to find the
right way to present them, or for the user to look them up. Let's say
you really like a wallpaper created by someone, and you want to see
more works of that person...
For software, should we give credits to the original authors of the
software, or to the ones porting it to OpenWrt or making NanoNote
specific improvements? In which order should people be credited?
What if space is limited? etc.

If you did something yourself, please don't be shy and start by
giving credit to yourself. Sometimes the biggest contributors are
humble and don't want to push themselves forward, making it hard to
trace back later.
When you upload a picture, write your name or URL into the 'Source'
field. On the Applications page, if you did a port of some software,
please don't hesitate to add yourself to the Credits: line.
If someone has a nickname he is typically known as, remember to add
the nickname to make it easier to find and communicate with people.

Bottom line: remembering to credit people is a shared responsibility
and needs to be done case by case to find the best way. There is
always some judgment in this as well, but that judgment defines who
we are and what we value, so let's be thoughtful about it.
If someone was forgotten - PLEASE speak up. Proper attribution is
what will make our community go forward happily.
Wolfgang
