Maybe. Depends on the use case. E.g., if you were thinking of hooking
something up to the Ben's TX/RX pads and just didn't like the idea of
running some cables deep on the inside of the machine, then the UART
board as presently designed should be perfect for you. (No hw flow
control either, same voltage levels, doesn't add much bulk.)

I definitely hope UBB will be popular as a general low-overhead
extension mechanism.

FWIW, the current UART board has a LED :-)
