Just hack the VERSION= line in reflash_ben.sh to read VERSION="testing/2011-02-16" Emacs in the old image suffered from some Linux memory handling misconfiguration. You could fix by hand by putting that line to /ect/sysctl.conf: vm.overcommit_memory=1 and reboot. Note, that emacs in the old image has a lot of other bugs.
