Sure, go ahead and make some :-) In the meantime we have already posted good quality screenshots and photos of the product, which is already some progress: http://www.milkymist.org/mmone.html http://www.milkymist.org/flickernoise.html > Being that project about hardware and software doing some really nice visual > effects it is a little strange for me that people do not do some videos > showing it. There are two fundamental reasons to explain this: 1) In the current state of things, making good videos is a pain. You either need to film the screen or use a frame grabber, both being cumbersome, expensive and messy. 2) Most of our little user base is currently made up of people who are either more interested in the hardware hacking aspects and/or not very active. Both points are being worked on: 1) I'm trying to get access to the VP8 accelerator from Google, which could be used to implement video recording and even internet streaming straight out of the box. That would be a feature that would benefit a lot both users and the project, as a means of viral self-promotion of the product. 2) We are slowly moving the product more and more into the "consumer electronics" land, both technically and market-wise. To widen and strengthen the hardware community, I am also trying to get well known people to collaborate on tutorials about hacking Milkymist (this is a lesser priority though). You can join us and help :-) S. _______________________________________________ Qi Hardware Discussion List Mail to list (members only): [email protected] Subscribe or Unsubscribe: http://lists.en.qi-hardware.com/mailman/listinfo/discussion
