Hi, all- Ever since the J1 core was posted to this list I've become very interested in FORTH and its kin as a basis for an exceptionally open computing platform.
The most interesting variation of FORTH (to me, anyway) is called Retro. It's minimalist, actively maintained, runs on an extremely portable MISC vm, avoids nonstandard dependencies, and is released under the ISC License. I'm writing to ask if someone with the BNN build environment set up would be willing to try and make an .ipk of the current stable release. Sources and other info are available here: http://retroforth.org/ Thanks very much for your consideration.
