It should be possible to switch the Ben into USB disk mode by just clicking on some icon. So the Ben becomes the USB disk. Would that help in some of your use cases? The ability to switch the Ben to USB disk mode is a very reachable goal, we can have it in the next OpenWrt image if we focus on this a little...
