Commits would be good, but I'm not sure we can easily separate them
from pulls/merges. E.g., when someone pulls an update from an
upstream project (for example, OpenWrt or the Linux kernel), we get
a lot of "commits" that are just repetitions from upstream.

Another metric would be IRC traffic.

The pattern is a bit noisier than on qi-hw, but the general trend
is an increase. Will be interesting to see what happens once M1
hits the masses.

I think we're also seeing some shift from the mailing lists to IRC.
