No worries it's not that bad (as you already write later in your

I think we (not just Qi, all sorts of open hardware projects) are
on good track to make all this accessible and usable for anybody
again, worldwide. No black & white needed.

But I think mailing lists are even better to know what's going on and
especially get a feel for what's happening. Good spirit is the most
important ingredient in a societal transformation!
