You can, but you need to build a cable first. Zipit has both USB host
and USB device (and both are 1.1)
on external connector, and as a bonus a bunch of GPIOs

Nope, they provided source code and a way to get console on it :) No
tivoisation at all,
even bootloader is open, you can get to its console over serial
