Hi,
I can confirm that the RTC works with an earlier image[1], keeping time
with the Ben off as long as the battery is in, and about 8 seconds
without it, after which the clock does not move, but is not reset[2].
The hwclock --systohc and hwclock --hctosys commands both seem to work,
and hwclock with no parameters prints the current time the RTC holds.

[1] The one from June I think; using the 2.6.32.27 kernel. I've been
meaning to upgrade it for a while now, but never seem to get around to
it... Seems like that somehow managed to be useful, for once.
[2] Meaning that, if I remove the battery for 10 seconds, the clock is 2
sec behind; if I remove it for 20 sec, the clock is 18 sec behind;
remove it for 5 sec, and it's not behind at all. (I tried all of these.)

as reported on IRC yesterday [1], latest firmware seems to break RTC
functionality, at least for me and some other guy who reported the
problem on IRC in the first place.
People who rely on the RTC for calendar stuff etc. might want to wait
with upgrading. Maybe reverting to the previous kernel fixes the
issues?
