Hi,

I was wondering if there were any licensing fees that had to be paid for the
chip in the Ben? And if so, does that mean there are non-free (proprietary)
codecs in the CPU of the Ben? I know the usual suspects are graphics
accelerators (milkymist excluded), but is there any other problematic component
of the CPU in the Ben?

This leads into my 2nd question which is about what CPU the Ya is likely to
use? If the ideal thing is to adapt the Milkymist Soc for the Ben, I imagine
that would take time, but it would be entirely Free. Are there any other
choices that are not too problematic? Like a higher model Ingenic? Also, any
progress with regard to sourcing a different screen? For me now, since I have
the Ben set up exactly the way I want, I sort of do not want the new Nanonote
to come out. It's silly. But I will say that all the time spent developing the
Ya hardware will be worth it because Qi products are quality, so take your time.
