Then the next step is propably the firmware upgrade. * Install the 'xburst tools', try downloading the *i386.deb or *amd64.deb from here: http://projects.qi-hardware.com/index.php/p/xburst-tools/downloads/ should install automatically on ubuntu (only one of the two versions, depending on which version, i386 or amd64, of ubuntu you're using). * download and run the reflash_ben.sh script, as described here http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Reflash_ben.sh Make sure you use a good cable (the one included with nanonote) and a good usb port (don't use a hub!) for the upgrade. It's a little sensitive to transmission errors. When the latest software is installed on the nanonote, and networking is setup correctly, you can use "Places" -> Connect to Server" to open the nanonote as a network folder (that feature may be well hidden on newer ubuntu versions, maybe others have some tips.) If you bookmark that connection, you can copy to your nanonote just like you would use an MP3-player. cheers, David -- GnuPG public key: http://dvdkhlng.users.sourceforge.net/dk.gpg Fingerprint: B17A DC95 D293 657B 4205 D016 7DEF 5323 C174 7D40 PS: you still have that broken "mwniters AT yahoo DOT com email" address in the reply-to line of your mails.
