Uses MIPS, runs OpenWrt, a collection of useful peripheral interfaces.
One might assume you could choose to not include BLOBs for e.g. wi-fi.

To a non-specialist [moi...], it appears they are making a serious effort
in direction of open hardware. This is not at teh level of a fully open
FPGA based computer or an SOC derived from a design proven via FPGA.

This may be total junk. I' confident people will inform me of all that's
wrong with it. ;)
