Hi,
1) I have experienced problems in 0.71.8 when allocating ath0 to LAN.
- not possible to choose hostap mode in the webGUI
- not sure if it would make sense to activate a wireless interface
in some default mode (adhoc, 11b, channel 6), if it is allocated to
LAN in the CLI...
2) slow response from the webGUI, not sure what causes this. I have
tested on wrap (obviously slow) but same behavior on ITX-800MHz.
3) When changing Interface allocation in the _webGUI_, I think one
more step to apply the changes should be required, leaving the user
to change the interface (especially wireless) parameters, before the
new allocation is activated.
- Also, when changing interface allocation and rebooting the box,
pfsense wizard is coming up automatically, even though the
configuration has been set before, I suspect that is happening each
time the allocation is changed (maybe from the CLI)
4) Is the fwe0 interface known to work? I couldn't get my Powerbook
to pick up an address when trying to set the LAN to fwe0 to get a
1394ethernet up.
5) Updates don't show up in the auto-installer, even when setting is
changed to Alpha versions
Some of the above may be "mis-use", but as I consider myself as a
standard (dummy) user, some of these issue may be valid.
6) I had an issue with the 0.71.2, when I disabled WEP on an
interface. Somehow, the config-parser returned an error which left
the interface in a not configured state. Workaround was using the
serial console to bring the interface up again.
