When setting up mobile IPSec clients in pfSense, should pfSense assign a LAN IP to the client once they connect, similar to PPTP?

The client software I am trying allows me to set one, but I was thinking the end point should perhaps do that, unless that is not even needed in the IPSec world.

I am no IPSec expert at all, so I could be way off base here as well.

I was also wondering, when connecting as a road warrior client, should I be able to 'see' other devices on the other end of the tunnel by name or only IP?

Thanks for any feedback,
Brian
