A vlan is on the lan or the wan you need a vlan switch in place to run
it.
And or vlan clients connected to it.

Vlan is not virtual IP address or vip

Do a goolge for vlan to understand it

Subject: [pfSense-discussion] LAN/WAN VLAN

When you first install pfSense the first time, you are given the
option of making a VLAN between the LAN and WAN interface. Is there
any benefit in doing that, and what exactly does it do to have a VLAN
in place?
