With m0n0wall you can boot from cd and save config
to floppy.
Assuming since PFSense has an ISO titled "Live CD"
you can do the same. Is this true?
If yes, does it automatically "sense" the floppy
and write to it?
If yes, can I use a CF adapter to store the config
and how? I have a Sybia IDE to CF adapter & 128MB CF card.
I did get an older version of PFSense
(0.76.4) to install on the CF adapter ignoring the 300mb warning and disabling
logging and swap. But that version does not support new features I need. The new
versions bomb from obvious disk space issue. I also used the 128-mini version
and physdiskwrite to burn it and it shows the boot strap message and hangs right
after, regardless of the mini-128mb version I try. Anyone had any similar
problems with the 128mb version and CF?
Sorry for the 20 questions.
Tim
Also, 0.79.2 rocks like Slayer and Realtek cards
suck. Peace. :)
