Given that the Captive Portal part of pfSense is in
freeze until release, has any one been working on enhancing it? I am looking at
adding some things (if I can) but if it has already been done, or is being
working on, I don't wish to "reinvent the wheel".
I have a few things on my wish list but I guess the
main feature I'm wanting is the ability to give differant users differant
amouts of internet access and once their time is used up they
are no longer able to log in. They wouldn't need anonymous
signup as I already know my users, but I do want to be able to limit their
online time in differing amounts of hourly blocks and, if
possible, accumulated session time (seperate sessions until their time is
used up).
Perhaps this ability is already available with
FreeRadius?, but as the package installer is failing at present I'm not able to
test it.. (I did log a ticket for this, not realising that another user had
already done so - sorry about that).
If any one is working on, or is thinking about,
more features for the captive portal, I would appreciate hearing from
you.
