Just remember to return the config register to 0x2102. If you either type in the wrong value or just forget to return to that value the router won't follow its normal boot sequence. This won't erase the config at all. I have a couple 2500 routers here at home in my lab and I've done password recoveries on them without problems. -----Original Message----- From: Kim C.
