Just throwing in my 2cents worth, I have been using PF now since Sept 2005
and have been using it as Multiwan LoadBalancing for the last 2 or 3 months.
I can state it clearly from my experience, when using a multithreaded
DownLoad Manager, the LoadBalance forms a temporary aggregate of both WAN
and OPT connections.

I have 2 x 1.5MB/256K ADSL connections and with a non-multithreaded
download, using WAN or OPT only, my download speed is roughly at 176KB/Sec
give or take a few, and with multithreaded download it is roughly 352KB/Sec.
See Attached Download Image. These speeds do vary from DL to DL and from
server to server, and as one thread ends, speeds can vary to single WAN and
a temp pause then restart increases the DL to Max speed again using both
connections.

Kindest Regards,

Just view the realtime trafficgraphs of both WAN interfaces. I have
attached a frame http page (assuming your 2nd WAN is OPT1 and your
pfSense IP is 192.168.1.1, if that doesn't match just edit the file).
