I'm thinking adding a 10/50 VDSL line (PPPoE, one IP change in 24 hours) to my 2/30 cable modem (DHCP, one IP change in several months). I'm running ALIX with latest stable. I also have a spare WRAP with identical configuration as a hot spare.
I could just put the WRAP on cable modem, the ALIX on VDSL and live with two gateways (AFAI there's no way to configure load-levelling at LAN client level with two gateways?) or go dual-WAN. Can I do dual-WAN with above setup? Can I do load-levelling with above setup? (Use of WAN1 and WAN2 roughly proportional to available bandwidth). Will ALIX be able to handle 12/80 aggregate trafic, or will I peak before? Will this still work with traffic shaping (I'm not currently using it)? What about dyndns? Is it possible to track two IPs with two different DynDNS names? Thanks. -- Eugen* Leitl leitl http://leitl.org ______________________________________________________________ ICBM: 48.07100, 11.36820 http://www.ativel.com http://postbiota.org 8B29F6BE: 099D 78BA 2FD3 B014 B08A 7779 75B0 2443 8B29 F6BE --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected] Commercial support available - https://portal.pfsense.org
