full election idea

Isn't it possible to make the full election in a month or so instead of chosing someone for 2-3 month?
It makes much more sense I think. I mean thinking about it, it would take whoever at least 1-1.5 month
to get to know how things work that would leave very little time to actually do something usefull.
I really think that's the best idea.
