To the displayTag developers, This is the second job that I've used the display tag library on. Ed and you guys have done a great job, and I'm impressed with the level of support you've enlisted on sourceforge.
I've found some minor things that need fixing and would like to: 1) save myself time by more directly getting the things I want fixed accomplished. 2) support your display tag library. Do you have "openings" for any more developers with CVS commit capability? I'm an experienced J2EE programmer, know CVS and Ant well, but haven't yet participated in an open-source project. So I'd need a little help to get started. I've reviewed the display tag source code and feel that I understand what you've done and how the software is organized. The main fix I'd like to see added is a bug when sorting on a column containing null values. Perhaps you've already fixed this; I've fixed it in my copy. In addition, when displaying two tables on the same page, it is cumbersome to manage one set of "page" and "sort" attributes; I'd like to make these track as query parameters rather than being cached internally. Again, this is "fixed" in our application. Finally, I'd be glad to support regression testing by adding more JUnit/HttpUnit/? test suites where necessary. What say? Let me know. I understand you want to "deliver" 0.8.5 at the moment, and so I won't be "a bull in a china shop". :-) Again, thanks for contributing a great little gem to open-source. -Scott Smith - Senior J2EE/Java Programmer __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
