The sortable attribute is set to true no matter what value you give to it, even the "false" value. The only way to set it to false is by not including it in the tag: <display:column property="aProperty" sortable="false"/> Doesn´t work <display:column property="aProperty"/> Works The now deprecated 'sort' attribute is working properly.
