That's the new maven xdoc plugin, with my patch just accepted in maven codebase!
actually these are the default color, I will customize the look and feel later for the displaytag site. Now the output of xdoc is totally tableless xhtml+css, so it's totally customizable using css
(PS colors are the same of the latest maven xdoc before my patch, see http://www.maven.org/ )

I saw the new colors on http://displaytag.sf.net - don't know if I like them. Regardless of what I think - you should probably change the stylesheet so it has a white background on the body. It shows up gray on my browser.
