Before b3 release I will fix distribution buid to use the standard maven
"distribution" goal (plus needed pre-goal).

This will generate both a zip and a gzipped version (which should be
automatically uploaded/tagged/release) thanks to the maven sourceforce
plugin. I really wants everything in the release process to be
automated: need to try it for b3, hoping everything works well at the
first click (no way to test it without tagging CVS and creating a new
release on sf)...

Subject: [displaytag-devel] binary distribution

Whoever generates the binary distribution on sourceforge, please make
sure
the zip/tar files have a parent directory in them. I just downloaded b2
to
install in my new webapp and extracted the zip file and it slobbered all

over my current directory with it's files.

Do we have a policy for providing a zip and tar/gzipped distribution? I
much prefer the tar/gzipped version myself. Anyone mind if I add this to

the build process?
